Twinsburg/Macedonia Residents are invited to rally against cancer!

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life^® of Twinsburg/Macedonia

Kick-Off Rally is Tuesday, November 17 at Hilton Garden Inn Twinsburg

Twinsburg, OH – In celebration of its 10^th birthday, the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Twinsburg/Macedonia announces its fundraising efforts with a Kick-Off Rally on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 8971 Wilcox Drive, Twinsburg. The American Cancer Society is committed to creating a world with more birthdays by working to eliminate cancer as a major health threat. While striving to reach this goal, the Society works daily to save more lives until a cure is found.

Doors open at 6:45pm and the presentation begins at 7:00pm. The event will include a preview of Relay 2010 with new features and ideas. The night will conclude at 8:00pm with team recognition awards from Relay 2009.

The event is open to anyone interested in joining the fight against cancer and those who would like to find out more about the 2010 Relay For Life of Twinsburg/Macedonia. Residents and businesses of Twinsburg and Macedonia are urged to attend.

As a follow up to the Kick-Off Rally, the first team captain’s meeting for the 2010 event will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 6:30 pm at Twinsburg High School. For more information visit www.relayforlife.org/twinsburg.

Relay For Life is The American Cancer Society’s signature event involving more than 3.5 million people across the United States each year. It is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at Twinsburg Tiger Stadium and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times. Next year’s event will be held June 4-5, 2010.
